Welcome to Mrs. Barrios' One-Day G.A.T.E. web page!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone the week of August 25!  One-Day G.A.T.E. is such a unique learning experience for students, and I feel very fortunate to be able to teach in this outstanding program.  This is my tenth year of teaching G.A.T.E. and my enthusiasm never wanes.  I look forward to teaching, and learning from, the amazing group of students that I see evey week.  It is going to be an awesome year, with activities in Science, Geography, Art, and Spanish that will be fun and interesting.  Our Computer Lab also enables us to do online research, webquests, keyboarding, logic games, and writing in a setting where each child has his/her own computer. Student work folders are also easily accessible from any computer at Owens.  

 Parents and other visitors are always welcome in our classroom to see what we're up to!  If parents, students, or home school teachers have any questions, I am always available to you by either emailing me at the address below or calling Owens at 631-5420.   My home number will also be listed on the newsletter you will receive the first week of school.
