BCSD Attendance/Truancy Policy

State law requires students between the ages of 6 and 18 to attend school.  Your child is considered "truant" after 3 unexcused absences, 3 tardies of 30 minutes or more, or a combination of the three.  Parents can be held legally responsible for their child's school attendance.
