Our current academic focus includes the
 
following:  Rhyming, Letter Identification upper

We are counting, writing and recongnizing

numbers 1-30 and memorizing our 31 high frequency words and Concepts of Print.

Homework is given Mondays and returned on Fridays along with LEAP; language

acquisition tools. Poetry folders go home Wednesdays and are due back Friday.

Kindergarten Playground

Experience Grant

 This grant will focus on the California Physical Education Standards for Kinder Students. Our main goal is encouraging physical activity in a structured play environment.  We are promoting a partnership with parents to establish healthy eating, sleeping and exercise routines in all students, with the hope that it will become a foundation of life long practices. 

This month we are focusing on:

~ball play; rolling, throwing, catching, kicking

~games; bowling, soccer

~balance and social interactions

There is literature (cookbooks, picture books, stories) available for parental uses to further establish the components of this grant. Please discuss with your children the importance of a healthy lifestyle.  We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to introducing students to new activities, skills and the basics of healthy living.
